Problematic Sexual Behavior Treatment & Online Group Therapy

I offer a structured, three-phase online treatment program for adult men struggling with long-term sexual addiction or problematic sexual behaviors.

Online psychotherapy groups (4–8 members) provide:

  • Accountability
  • Peer support
  • Practical tools
  • Structure for lasting recovery
  • A space for real connection and growth

Northwest Lifestar currently facilitates groups for men dealing with pornography use and other forms of compulsive sexual behavior.

Sex Addiction and Group Therapy Program

My sexual addiction treatment program is designed for individuals seeking to stop any of the following behaviors:

  • Compulsive pornography viewing and excessive masturbation
  • Inappropriate or obsessive sexual behaviors (e.g., sexting, posting profiles, objectification, chatting, massage parlors, strip clubs, etc.)

This structured program helps participants gain insight into the personal and relational impact of compulsive sexual behaviors. Clients are equipped with tools and resources to think clearly, take ownership of their actions, and make empowered, healthy decisions.

Phase I: Getting Started

This educational phase introduces individuals to the foundational concepts of recovery. Clients begin learning how to pursue peace, hope, and sobriety by understanding the underlying emotional and behavioral issues that drive sexual compulsivity.

Format: Clients meet one-on-one with Brent Cichoski, LPC, CSAT, to:

  • Establish a personalized treatment plan
  • Gain insight into the root causes of sexual compulsions

Fees:

  • Initial Intake (75 minutes): $200
  • Individual Sessions (55 minutes): $185

Some insurance coverage may apply for individual sessions.

Topics Covered:

  • Boundary setting
  • Relapse prevention planning
  • Navigating shame and emotional triggers
  • Family of origin dynamics
  • Disclosure preparation
  • Mindfulness and emotional regulation

Tasks and workbook assignments are tailored to each client and help prepare them for Phase II.

Phase II: Recovery Group

This is a skill-based, closed online group designed to foster accountability, emotional growth, and long-term sobriety in a safe and structured environment.

Who Attends: Adult men struggling with long-term compulsive sexual behaviors. All groups are closed; new members may only join with consent of current group members to ensure safety and continuity.

What to Expect: This is an active recovery phase where clients:

  • Work through denial and understand the addiction cycle

Format:

  • Bi-monthly Zoom meetings
  • 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM
